I'm so SO looking forward to getting out there, talking about my novel, meeting lots of people. Here are some upcoming events - all welcome - would love to see you there.
BENN'S BOOKS - AUTHOR SIGNING
On Saturday 2 March at 11.00am I'll be at Benn's to say hello and sign a Rough Diamond or two. Benn's Books is my Melbourne-based "local", and can be found at 437 Centre Road, Bentleigh. You can check them out here. So nice to visit a book shop!
The Rotary Club of Southbank (Melbourne) is hosting a dinner and talk on Tuesday 5 March from 6pm to 7:30pm in the Garden Room at Crown (1st level). The cost is $35 which includes dinner. I'll be speaking about my writing journey and I'm so looking forward to meeting new people and supporting the Rotarians who do such great work both locally and globally. Bookings are essential and can be made via this email address: email@example.com by Friday 1 March. Payment can be made on the night. Please visit Southbank Rotary's website to learn more about their wonderful community efforts.
ROUGH DIAMOND is very greedily having a second launch party! Favel Parrett - writing buddy and author of the very beautiful Miles Franklin short-listed Past the Shallows - will co-host the event at Nicole Maher's fabulous bookshop in Aireys Inlet. If you're in the neighbourhood (and you might because it's a long weekend), come along to Great Escape Books (river shops) on Saturday 9 March at 7pm. It's a free event, but for catering purposes please let us know if you're coming. You can do so via this email address: firstname.lastname@example.org or via my contact page.
DEBUT MONDAYS AT THE WHEELER CENTRE
The Wheeler Centre (176 Little Lonsdale Street, Melbourne) offers a great chance for readers to meet and chat with new authors in an 'up close and personal' environment. I'll be participating in their author panel on Monday 18 March at 6:15pm downstairs in THE MOAT. I'm looking forward to meeting new people, reading from my novel, and signing a book or two. For further information, check out The Wheeler Centre's website here.
ROMANCE WRITERS OF AUSTRALIA CONFERENCE
The RWA committee and members are so together, so fabulous, I can't wait for this year's conference in Fremantle ("Freo") WA. The conference runs from 16 to 18 August, and will be brimming with awesome romance writers, but I'm sneaking over there a few days early to check out Australia's amazing west coast. Have a look at the RWA website here.
